Out of Hours Access: Georgia O'Keeffe

26 September 2016 at 19.30–21.30

Free for Members

Painting of a building, moon and street light

Georgia O'Keeffe New York Street with Moon 1925
Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza (Madrid, Spain) © 2016 Georgia O'Keeffe Museum/DACS, London

A free event for deaf, blind, partially sighted and disabled audiences as well as their carers, family members and friends.  This evening also allows ease of access for mobility-impaired visitors who would find it difficult to visit during opening hours. Guide dogs welcome.

This exhibition reassess Georgia O’Keeffe’s place in the canon of twentieth-century art, and shows the profound influence she had on other artists. With no works by O’Keeffe in UK public collections this exhibition is a rare chance to see the beauty and skill of her remarkable paintings outside the US.

This evening event includes a BSL tour led by Chisato Minamimura, an audio description tour by Lisa Squirrel (hearing loops and amplifiers are available) and allows ease of access for mobility-impaired visitors who would find it difficult to visit during opening hours.

Doors will open at 18.30, tours will start from 19.00.
