Chagall studio workshops (July)

8–12 July 2013 at 11.00–13.00 and 14.00–16.00

Free for Members

Marc Chagall (1887–1985) is one of the great artists of the last century. Chagall: Modern Master takes a fresh look at this compelling artist who created some of the most poetic and enduring images of the twentieth century. The exhibition is the first major presentation of the Russian painter’s work in the UK in over fifteen years and provides a context in which to explore folklore and storytelling, theatre design, poetry and colour.

We will be offering artist-led studio workshops for this exhibition for Key stages 2 and 3 for a limited period only, from 8-12 July. Workshops are available at two timeslots during this period, at either 10:00-12:00 or 13:00-15:00.
Workshops will also be available during a second period later in the year, from 23-27 September, see our What's On page for details.

Dream-like circus in saturated blues: an acrobat in red arches from a trapeze above a violet-winged figure cradling a fish, watched by a green donkey's head, a large blue fish, a yellow crescent moon and a bouquet.
